Sailing away...

I get told that few times whenever I complain about something nowadays. Here's why.

I'm going on the Ship for World Youth.

In my first interview as a candidate, I was asked why I wanted to go on the ship. I didn't bother to reiterate the usual because-I-want-to-make-new-friends-from-around-the-world. I said: "I've grown used to Bahrain AGAIN and it's time for a solo adventure. That's why I want to go so badly."

It feels like I'll finally be able to break out from Bahrain. I miss being on my own in a big world amongst stragngers. I miss being "the" stranger. I miss checking-in, sightseeing and lodging. Away from my failed romances, profession stress, society bitterness, I need to be. And this is my chance. I need a new dimension of growth.I'm very much looking forward to being in the middle of nowhere and having no Blackberry and no contact with the people I know (I love them but I could really use some no contact). Dad was disappointed with the fact that I chose to take time off and travel instead of setting the third and final level of my CFA, but for once I also chose not to listen to him and Mum was there to support.

Oh new cities, here I come.
New people with new faces, here I come.
New lanscapes, here I come.
